All of the work I have been doing is deeply connected to the work of Martin Luther King, and I have found so much wisdom and inspiration in the autobiographies of MLK and Coretta Scott King. Both books discuss how much they valued classical education. MLK talks about how the Canon was foundational to the Civil Rights Movement. Being able to have this conversation with Bernice King is a blessing that only God made happen. I had no idea someone who could put this together was in the audience when I spoke recently. I see this as an extension of my 50th birthday (Oct. 12) celebration. Hopefully, more people will understand my heart and why I am so passionate about a classical education that welcomes ALL of us to the Great Conversation.

This is wonderful!
