Here’s part 3 of my series, Excuses for NOT Showing Mercy. As I continue exploring this topic, it’s becoming even clearer to me that showing mercy is not just a suggestion but a command from God. It’s tough to reconcile with the world’s harsh divisions, but as Christians, we are called to bridge those gaps, not create more. It’s heartbreaking that some feel the need to withhold mercy because of differences, whether it’s based on race, beliefs, or way of life. What’s even harder is seeing people who follow strict religious rules struggle with fear of rejection when they speak their truth. We should be able to stand firm in our beliefs while still showing love and compassion to others. At the end of the day, we’re all humans with a shared right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—no exceptions.
