Consulting While Waiting for “HOME”

So it begins! The Phoenix was chosen with intention. Today is my last day with Johns Hopkins but it’s the beginning of a new season. I am excited about all that God has in store. I have been doing educational consulting on the side for years, but now I’m making it official by launching Anika Prather Consulting! Consulting has been carrying me as I transition to a new home in academia. Thanks to the encouragement and support of my husband, I can take the next few months building my consulting company and finding a new “home” for me in academia. I am grateful not to feel the pressure to just find a job, but I can take the time to find a place where the work I do can continue to thrive. I have been enjoying the interviews and meeting so many wonderful people and institutions, and it has felt good to do this without worry, but I can relax and trust the process. I know God will open whatever door he feels will best serve his greater purpose, and I only want to be where he wants me to be. I will forever be grateful for all I have learned from JHU. The opportunities, experiences and mentoriship I received at the Institute for Education Policy have made me an even stronger scholar. So, during this little reprieve and transition, if you need a speaker, curricula review, teacher training, etc. I am totally free at least until the summer! Stay tuned for more updates on my adventures!
