What if the Christian schools of this generation, not only got back to their classical roots, but also sought to untangle itself from its racist history and were more intentional about creating a welcoming environment for diverse communities? This cannot be accomplished by declaring every person who seeks genuine Biblical unity as woke and shutting them away. God desires us to be healed and that healing cannot come without facing the truth of the history of Christian schooling in America. We can move forward in truth and God will bless us even more. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of LOVE. Hard conversations and intentional action will heal us and help us. When we do this, our light will shine even more. When we stand before God, we want Him to see that we all did the work of making sure our church body reflected the fellowship he plans for us in Heaven. Our unity reflects the love of God to the world.
