The Anna Julia Cooper Forum for Diverse Classical Education (AJC FORUM) is an event that I sponsor within the Classics dept at Howard University, that seeks to bring together BIPOC educators and/or educators committed to bringing diversity into classical schools. They are scheduled throughout the year.
These events currently are online and include a time for prospective teachers to meet with Classical or classically inspired schools seeking staff who are committed to making classical schools more diverse. The AJC Forum also has time for all who attend to have dialogue about classical education and how to connect it to diverse populations. The AJC Forum is open to charter, private and all faith based schools.
When participants leave an AJC Forum an email is sent to them with the lists of participating schools and prospective teachers, so everyone can stay in contact with each other.
