Koinonia Classical Fellowship
Unity through Classical Studies
Theme Verse:
Ephesians 4:3-6-Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Mission:
Koinonia Classical Fellowship is a Christian community where all ethnicities are welcome to enjoy classical education, the study of the classical world, and to explore how classical learning is relevant to everyone.
Vision:
Koinonia Classical Fellowship seeks to hold regular retreats, fellowships, meetings throughout the year to foster community with ethnically diverse people and those who seek to reach ethnically diverse communities through classical studies. We also seek to build relationships with classical education organizations where we are present at conferences and other events in order to support these organizations in celebrating diversity from a Biblical perspective and to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to attend the conferences to integrate diversity into the fabric of the organizations.
Format:
Koinonia Classical Fellowship hosts a weekly virtual prayer and fellowship time on Fridays 7 pm-8 pm est. Koinonia also plans to host in person weekend retreats, virtual discussions and trainings, the Facebook group Diverse Classical Education, share resources to help those interested in making classical studies more diverse for all ages and provide a Biblical framework for welcoming diversity into the classical studies community.
